Echoes' Fantasy - extended explores the singular, emotional and performative relationship we have with everyday objects. Two people, bored yet alone, keep themselves occupied in shared space. With the “object-extensions”, they create new worlds that are extraordinary, monstrous, and poetic at the same time. For this in situ version at the Maif Social Club, Alice and Adrien create a scenography where the audience can immerse themselves in the experiences and adventures.
Blending sounds, materials, and bodies, the two characters recreate their rituals and undergo metamorphosis. They fluctuate between reality and fantasy, in this chaotic world brimming with emotions, noises, and dramatic figures. Following this captivating journey, the audience will see themselves and experience a sense of déjà vu.
As sister and brother, Alice and Adrien started creating their own universe of absurdity in childhood, which continues on stage in search of vividness, physicality, and organicity.
Alice, a multidisciplinary artist in residence at Artagon Pantin, creates performative works (Tenue in 2019, FFOMECBLOT- camoufler in 2022) that are presented on stage or in situ at venues such as Palais de Tokyo, Fondation Louis Vuitton, Fondation Lafayette and the Maia Biennale of Contemporary Art (Portugal). As a performer, she has collaborated with Magda Kachouche and NSDOS (Koodes).
Dancer and choreographer Adrien explores his universe of pop culture and icons in his works (Britney 66 in 2017 and Carapace, 2018), which are presented in CCNR and at the Saint Étienne International Biennale of Design. After working for Jove IT Dansa and Project Sally, he has collaborated with many choreographers, including Yuval Pick, Alban Richard, Damien Jalet, Simon Feltz, and Soraya Thomas.
