WE HAVE DECIDED NOT TO DIE is a film and musical performance inspired by the archives of the architectural project "Reversible Destiny - Healing Fun House" - an "eco-queer community" imagined by artists, poets, and architects Madeline Gins and Shusaku Arakawa. In line with her previous works, Louise Siffert transforms these archives into playful and poetic objects. While the duo Gins and Arakawa designed structures capable of emancipating bodies from norms, control mechanisms, and idealization processes, Louise creates a bright space, rich in textures and colors, perhaps even capable of defying death.
After a residency at Les Laboratoires d'Aubervilliers in 2022 and 2023, plastic artist Louise Siffert created her first work, “We have decided not to die", at the Ménagerie de Verre in December 2023.
