“But actually, what makes one gay?”. This is the question staged by Lucien Fradin, accompanied by the musician Mia Ottin and the video artist Pablo Albandea. It starts with a box of letters related to a classified ad in a gay magazine of the 80s. After reception, Lucien reads, selects and classifies the content in an Excel file which becomes the starting point of this piece displaying different points of view. This kaleidoscopic performance is a collage of texts, visuals and sounds made by gays and bis to talk about themselves and their friends. On stage, three actors generate a portrait of an evolving community and its stakes on gender issues and its multiple desires.

Born in 1988, Lucien Fradin lives in Lille. He uses multiple sources, investigations and testimonies to create a variety of stories. He starts with his own stories and popularize the politics and theories of sexual minorities. In 2019, he creates with Aurore Magnier the company La Ponctuelle.
