REFACE is a physical and musical research around transformation, deformation and material alteration. Everything is about transition: our bodies, memories, social environment, flora, romantic relationships, power in politics… Everything is in the movement holding appearance of definitive and candid forms. The collective Les Idoles works on such intimate instability that faces and emotions become blurry and multiple. These imperceptible and incessant metamorphosis show how complex we are and REFACE would like to make the transition visible.

Les Idoles is a collective paying homage to hundreds of references in cinematography, photography and music. This quirky field allows them to question images around them, from the most popular to the most elite, from the most iconic to the most trivial. Which figures do we idolize?

Born in Paris in 1991, Tom Grand Mourcel leaves for New York at 17 for the underground world. Back in France, he studies contemporary dance at the Lyon CNSMD (Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse). In 2022, he creates the platform La Feat with Chandra Grangean, Martin Malatray Ravit et Lise Messina; this platform has so far three projects: Dikie Istorii Company, Hoods Flakes and the collective Les Idoles.

Production: La Feat / Support: Briqueterie CDCN du Val-de-Marne, Point Éphémère, Velvet Moon, Maison de la danse de Lyon, Ministère de la Culture - DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes / Les Idoles are accompanied by Danse Dense in 2023.
